Investigations

There are currently five detectives in the Unit that are responsible for the follow up on major crimes, such as homicides and sex crimes. The detectives cover several areas, Crimes Against Persons, Property Crimes, Missing Persons, and Sexual Assaults as well. They often serve as the liaison between the Gilroy Police Department and the District Attorney's Office. In addition, the Investigations Unit will also write search warrants as needed by the department. The Unit's hours of operation are generally Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:30pm.
