Summer Program The City of Gilroy operates two aquatic facilities during the summer: Christopher High School (CHS) Aquatics Center and Gilroy High School (GHS) Pools. Recreation and lap swim are held at CHS Aquatics Center. Swim lessons and recreation swim are available at GHS Pools. The Aquatics program offers a variety of ways to enjoy the pool including lap swim, recreation swim, group and private swim lessons, fitness classes, camps and pool parties.
Swim lessons and recreation swim have concluded for the 2017 season and will be offered again next summer.

Volunteer as a Jr. Guard this summer and earn community service hours as well as gain work experience. The Junior Lifeguard Training class is required to volunteer with the Summer Aquatics program. The deadline to register is Friday, May 4, 2018. You must commit to working a minimum of 35 hours to volunteers. Those who work more than 65 hours will get a Jr. Guard sweatshirt at the end of the season. Those who work more than 100 hours and meet the age requirement will be able to enroll the following year in a Lifeguarding or WSI class at no charge. All Jr. Guards will receive a Summer Pool Pass.
