Benefiting the Community
Housing and Community Development administers the Community Development Block Grant funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as well as housing the local Housing Trust fund. The HUD funds are used in Gilroy to benefit primarily low and moderate income individuals or neighborhood through services or capital projects. The Housing Trust Fund provides housing-related loans and grants.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND PUBLIC REVIEW PERIOD FOR THE CITY OF GILROY’S AMENDMENTS TO THE ADOPTED ANNUAL ACTION PLAN

On June 5, 2017, the City Council adopted the City’s 2017-2018 Annual Action Plan.
Changes to the allocations issued by Housing and Urban Development (HUD) necessitated adjustments to the adopted Plan.
On August 7, 2017, City Council adopted the amendments to the 2017-2018 adopted Annual Action Plan.

The City of Gilroy invites the public to review and comment on the Draft Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for Program Year 2016 (July 1, 2016 – June 30, 2017) in advance of its approval by the City Council on September 18, 2017 and submittal to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This report includes project activities, use of funds and statistical information concerning direct benefit to recipients.
Citizen comments may be sent to the City of Gilroy, Attention HCD, 7351 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, CA 95020, or emailed to Eric.calleja@cityofgilroy.org, or by contacting (408) 846-0290 no later than September 17, 2017 for inclusion in the CAPER.

La Ciudad de Gilroy invita al público a revisar y comentar sobre la versión preliminar del Reporte Consolidado Anual de Desempeño y Evaluación (CAPER) para el año de programa 2016 antes de su aprobación por el Consejo Municipal de la Ciudad el 18 de septiembre de 2017 y el envίo al Departamento de Vivienda y Desarrollo Urbano de EE.UU. (HUD). Este informe incluye las actividades de proyectos, el uso de fondos e información estadística acerca de beneficio directo a los recipientes.
